Okur has a solid second half: Jazz C Mehmet Okur had a horrible first half 00 by his standards -- in 2007-08, averaging just 13.1 ppg and 6.2 rpg prior to the All-Star break. He bounced back after that, though, finishing the season by averaging 17.0 ppg and 10.3 rpg after the break. (Updated 04/30/2008).

Fantasy Analysis
Okur was one of the better overall centers in Fantasy in April, averaging 17.6 ppg, 12.3 rpg, 2.1 apg, 2.1 three-pointers made (from a center!) and 1.0 steals per game during the month in which Fantasy seasons were decided. Unfortunately, his brutal first half put many Fantasy owners too far out of it to get any use out of his hot run down the stretch. Fantasy owners should expect him to be back around his second half numbers in 2008-09 as they resemble the numbers he'd put up in his previous two seasons. He'll be worth drafting as a No. 1 center.
