After ousting coach Avery Johnson quickly after the Mavs bowed out of the playoffs, Dallas seems to be favoring Rick Carlisle as the man to fill the void, the Dallas Morning News reports. Carlisle met with the Mavericks twice regarding the coaching position, and all indications are that discussions are going well. "I've had two great visits with Mark Cuban and Donnie Nelson over the last couple of days," Carlisle said. "This (Dallas) obviously is an impressive organization." (updated: 05/04/2008)
