On the Washington Post website, Gilbert Arenas addressed the chatter that the Wizards may have actually played better in his absence. "People say they're better without me," Arenas was quoted as saying. "And, you know, for me to answer that, how would you know? How do you know if the team is better without somebody or with somebody? It's like, you can just speculate, but if you do the research, last year we was 10 games above .500, this year we didn't get 10 games above .500 without me. I mean, it's just somebody says it and everybody runs with it. Because you just assume that since I went down they're supposed to lose, and if they win games you say, 'Oh, they're better without him.' It's like, 'ehhh?'" (updated: 05/06/2008)

Roger Mason

Are the Wizards going to resign Roger Mason? I hope they do, but Uncle Ernie seemed to hedge when asked about it. I guess the worry is that he will cost too much. I thought Roger had a very nice season. I don't understand the comment about the Wizards being crowded ...(more)

Hibbert and the 2008 NBA draft

Most of the mock drafts that I've seen have the Wizards passing on Hibbert and picking another low post man with their pick in the first round. I believe Roy's best days are ahead of him and having him play in his own back yard would be a coup for the 'Zards. Does anybody else feel the same way, or do you believe Washington ...(more)

Hopefully a select few Wizard players have learned that talking trash about a team and/or a player when they have beaten you 3 straight times in the playoffs is pathetic.

Enjoy the offseason (again)

If the Washington front office is smart, they will remove the foolish cancers from the roster for next year.

I can see that sman1965 bothers almost every team on their message board. While trash talking is fun, just seeing this guys posts makes me fell like I am back in the 3rd grade.
