--Don Nelson would like the NBA to consider restructuring its playoffs so the teams with the 16 best records -- regardless of conference -- get in. Had that been in place this season, the Warriors (48-34) would have been the 12-seed, facing fifth-seeded San Antonio -- a team they beat in the season series -- in a best-of-seven.

--The Warriors are the first team since the NBA expanded to a 16-team playoff format to miss the postseason after having won 48 games in the regular season.

--The Warriors established a franchise record for home attendance with a 41-game total of 804,864. The 19,631 per-game average is higher than the listed capacity at the 19,500-seat ORACLE Arena.

--Baron Davis (21.8), Monta Ellis (20.2) and Stephen Jackson (20.1) all finished with scoring averages higher than 20, the first time a Warriors trio has accomplished that feat since "Run TMC" -- Chris Mullin (25.7), Mitch Richmond (23.9) and Tim Hardaway (22.0) -- did it in 1990-91.

--QUOTE TO NOTE: "Up, up and up. You grow from these 48 wins and get better." -- Warriors point guard Baron Davis, trying to find a silver lining in a 48-34 season that ended without a playoff berth.

May not make financial sense, but wouldn't he be a nice piece to fill a major hole for the Warriors?

We have two years to make a run with this team (maybe just one depending on Baron's future contract).  Nowitki would bring a more depndabel outside shot and some more size inside.  I think Nelson can get more out ...(more)

I think Baron is a good player but I dont think he can get past the 1st round.  Why not try to get Elton Brand- Look at this line up- Starting- Monte-G, Jackson-G, B Wright- F, Brand-PF, Biedrens-C- Have Harrington, Kelenna, Barnes, Watson, Bellinelli- Sign maybe freeagent Point Guard like Arroyo and legit back up center li ...(more)

What do you think?  Trade or Free Agency, we need rebounding more than anything.

I'd like to get Nick Collison from Seattle.  We could trade Al Harrington and

I can see that sman1965 bothers almost every team on their message board. While trash talking is fun, just seeing this guys posts makes me fell like I am back in the 3rd grade.

I am proposing a boycott of any thread he starts, and to any posts he makes on other threads as well...

Maybe he will start to talk smart sports conversation or maybe he will jus ...(more)

That ownership sure didn't last long LOSERS!  enjoy your off season.. you can catch the playoffs on ESPNHD.

Maybe you guys can talk Stern into moving the team to the Eastern Conference.. Or hey.. better idea... Maybe you guys can get a spot in the WNBA.

What are our odds of our ping pong ball or one of them making it into the Top pick?  And for arguement sake say that the basketball gods decide to make it bounce our way.  Who do we pick?

(POLL) I know our team is out, but who says we can no longer enjoy the game of basketball? So my question to you is, Which team in the wild, wild, west are you guys rooting for to win it all? (Not enough slots for east teams)

Thank you Warriors for having a great year and the future looks bright, it is just a bad break that the west was so good this year. If we were in the N.I.T., sorry I mean the east we would have been a four seed. Thanks, for the good year and I can not wait till next year.

PS I think all of us Warrior fans should route agaisnt th ...(more)

Anyone hear why BD did not play at all in the second half last night against Phoenix?  I did not think he was hurt and I am just praying that Ratto's article is not right at all and is a joke.  That would be just like the Warriors to get good again and then have something awful like a Davis/Nelson fued destroy the franchise.

(POLL) repost intro: "We Believe" fell short in the playoff quest.  The playoff teams in the West are all balanced teams.  The Warriors, even though exciting with their hit or miss attitude - aka hoisting lazy threes all day, are just not balanced like the contenders in the West.  The Warriors have no post players tha ...(more)
