New Orleans Saints at Washington Redskins
24 Saints QB Drew Brees passed for 343 yards with three touchdowns and an interception last week. Brees faces a Redskins defense that struggled to contain Plaxico Burress, who caught 10 passes for 133 yards. Redskins QB Jason Campbell produced just 133 yards on 28 drop backs last week. Campbell could struggle against the Saints' defense that applied constant pressure to Jeff Garcia last week.
Result: Washington Redskins 29, New Orleans Saints 24
23
NY Giants Giants at St. Louis Rams
27Giants RB Brandon Jacobs rushed for 116 yards on 21 carries last week. Jacobs will face a Rams defense that gave up 91 rushing yards on 19 attempts. The Rams struggled to run the ball last week and could struggle against a Giants defense that held RB Clinton Portis to 84 yards rushing.
Result: NY Giants Giants 41, St. Louis Rams 13
20
Indianapolis Colts at Minnesota Vikings
23The Colts' offense managed just 53 yards on the ground last week. The rushing attack will test a Vikings defense that allowed Packers RB Ryan Grant to rush for 92 yards on 12 attempts. Vikings RB Adrian Peterson rushed for 103 yards on 19 carries last week and should have similar success against a Colts defense that gave up 123 yards to rookie RB Matt Forte.
Result: Indianapolis Colts 18, Minnesota Vikings 15
21
Oakland Raiders at Kansas City Chiefs
19The Raiders rushed for 150 yards and averaged 4.8 per carry last week. Oakland could have success against a Chiefs defense that allowed 4.5 rushing yards per carry against a Patriots team that ran more following Tom Brady's departure. Chiefs QB Brodie Croyle completed 11 of 19 passes for 88 yards before leaving the game with a separated shoulder. Backup Damon Huard will face a Raiders defense that allowed 299 passing yards and two touchdowns.
Result: Kansas City Chiefs 8, Oakland Raiders 23
17
Buffalo Bills at Jacksonville Jaguars
26Bills QB Trent Edwards was efficient last week and completed 19 of 30 passes for 215 yards and a touchdown. Edwards will face a Jaguars defense that played well against Vince Young, but struggled when Kerry Collins came into the game. The Jaguars' offense, which struggled to run the ball last week, will test a Bills defense that held the Seahawks to 85 yards on the ground.
Result: Jacksonville Jaguars 16, Buffalo Bills 20
17
Green Bay Packers at Detroit Lions
28Packers QB Aaron Rodgers came out a winner in his pressure-packed starting debut and should have success against a Lions defense that gave up a 62-yard touchdown on Matt Ryan's first NFL attempt. Lions rookie RB Kevin Smith ran well last week. He will test a Packers defense that gave up 103 rushing yards, including a touchdown.
Result: Green Bay Packers 48, Detroit Lions 25
21
Tennessee Titans at Cincinnati Bengals
20Titans QB Vince Young left the game with a knee injury and Kerry Collins was able to lead the team to victory. Collins could have success against the Bengals' defense, which struggled to put pressure on rookie quarterback Joe Flacco. The Bengals' offensive line was pushed around last week and could struggle against a Titans defense that sacked Jaguars QB David Garrard seven times.
Result: Tennessee Titans 24, Cincinnati Bengals 7
19
Chicago Bears at Carolina Panthers
20Bears rookie RB Matt Forte picked up 123 yards on 23 carries, including a 50-yard TD in his NFL debut. Forte faces a Panthers defense that held LaDainian Tomlinson under 100 yards and out of the end zone. Up until the final touchdown pass, Panthers QB Jake Delhomme struggled in the red zone. He could have success underneath the Bears' coverage, but the team can’t settle for field goals.
Result: Carolina Panthers 20, Chicago Bears 17
17
Atlanta Falcons at Tampa Bay Buccaneers
23Falcons RB Michael Turner rushed for a team record 220 yards last week and could have success against a Buccaneers defense that allowed 103 total rushing yards to Reggie Bush and Pierre Thomas. Bucs RB Earnest Graham averaged 9.1 yards per carry last week, but he could struggle against a Falcons defense that held the Lions to 62 yards on 21 carries.
Result: Tampa Bay Buccaneers 24, Atlanta Falcons 9
17
San Francisco 49ers at Seattle Seahawks
2149ers RB Frank Gore rushed for 96 yards on 14 carries last week. Gore will test a Seahawks defense that contained Marshawn Lynch with the exception of his 21-yard touchdown late in the first quarter. Seahawks QB Matt Hasselbeck completed 17 passes out of 41 for 190 yards and was sacked five times. Hasselbeck will test a 49ers defense that didn't allow big plays by keeping the receivers in front of them.
Result: Seattle Seahawks 30, San Francisco 49ers 33
16
New England Patriots at NY Jets Jets
21The Patriots lost QB Tom Brady for the season, but backup Matt Cassel did a nice job stepping in last week and could have success against a Jets defense that gave up 251 passing yards. N.Y. Jets QB Brett Favre showed off his strong arm and improvisational skills on his two TD passes last week. Favre could find success against a Patriots secondary that let the Chiefs back in the game with inconsistent coverage.
Result: NY Jets Jets 10, New England Patriots 19
20
San Diego Chargers at Denver Broncos
24Chargers QB Philip Rivers played well last week, throwing three touchdowns and compiling a 125.1 passer rating. Rivers hopes to have similar success against a Broncos defense that held Raiders QB JaMarcus Russell to 180 passing yards on 26 attempts. Broncos QB Jay Cutler, who played well in Week 1, could have similar success against a Chargers defense that gave up 247 passing yards with a touchdown.
Result: Denver Broncos 39, San Diego Chargers 38
23
Miami Dolphins at Arizona Cardinals
24The Dolphins' rushing offense struggled last week as Ricky Williams and Ronnie Brown combined for 47 yards. Ricky Williams could have more success against a Cardinals defense that gave up 80 rushing yards in the first half last week. Cardinals QB Kurt Warner could have success against a Dolphins defense that gave up a few big plays against the Jets last week.
Result: Arizona Cardinals 31, Miami Dolphins 10
17
Pittsburgh Steelers at Cleveland Browns
28Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger passed for two touchdowns and finished with a 147 passer rating. Roethlisberger could have similar success against a Browns' defense that put little pressure on the quarterback. The Browns' offense struggled last week and could struggle against a tough Steelers' defense.
Result: Pittsburgh Steelers 10, Cleveland Browns 6

Result: Dallas Cowboys 41, Philadelphia Eagles 37
