St. Louis Rams at Washington Redskins
26The Rams' passing offense could struggle against a Redskins defense that is playing well even without CB Shawn Springs, DE Jason Taylor and SLB Marcus Washington. Redskins RB Clinton Portis should have success against a Rams defense that gives up 166 yards per game.
14
Carolina Panthers at Tampa Bay Buccaneers
20Panthers RB DeAngelo Williams will test a Buccaneers defense that played well against the run last week. Bucs RB Earnest Graham averaged 5.9 yards per carry last week, but could struggle against a Panthers defense that limited Larry Johnson to two yards on seven carries.
17
Cincinnati Bengals at NY Jets
26Bengals QB Carson Palmer faces a Jets secondary that has been inconsistent, but the Jets' pass rush is improving. Jets QB Brett Favre faces a Bengals pass defense that wasn't tested much last week, but recorded a sack and put some pressure on Tony Romo.
20
Oakland Raiders at New Orleans Saints
26Raiders QB JaMarcus Russell faces a Saints defense that played well last week until the fourth quarter, where two big plays helped the Vikings turn a seven-point deficit into a three-point win. Saints RBs Reggie Bush and Deuce McAllister will test a Raiders defense that has held every opposing running back, except for LaDainian Tomlinson, to less than 100 rushing yards.
17
Detroit Lions at Minnesota Vikings
28Lions RB Rudi Johnson could struggle against a Vikings defense that held the Saints to 55 rushing yards. Vikings RB Adrian Peterson will test a Lions defense that held the Bears to under 100 rushing yards, but only because Chicago was throwing the ball with ease.
14
Baltimore Ravens at Indianapolis Colts
26The Ravens ran the ball 38 times for 132 yards last week and should have similar success against a Colts defense that gives up a lot of rushing yards. Colts QB Peyton Manning faces a Ravens defense that is missing CB Samari Rolle, who underwent neck surgery.
17
Miami Dolphins at Houston Texans
24Dolphins RB Ronnie Brown should have success against a Texans defense that has not played well against the run. Texans RB Steve Slaton could struggle against a Dolphins defense that held Pro Bowl RB LaDainian Tomlinson to 35 yards on 12 carries.
23
Chicago Bears at Atlanta Falcons
21Bears QB Kyle Orton could have success against a Falcons defense that gave up 313 passing yards and three touchdowns last week. Falcons RB Michael Turner will test a Bears defense that forced the Lions to abandon the run game at halftime.
20
Jacksonville Jaguars at Denver Broncos
24Jaguars RBs Maurice Jones-Drew and Fred Taylor struggled against the Steelers, but both players should rebound against a Broncos defense that allowed the Buccaneers to average 6.3 yards per carry. Broncos QB Jay Cutler could have success against a Jaguars defense that allowed 309 passing yards and three touchdowns last week.
23
Green Bay Packers at Seattle Seahawks
26Packers QB Aaron Rodgers faces a Seahawks defense that gave up 269 yards passing. Last week, the Seahawks managed only 74 yards on the ground, but RB Julius Jones could have success against a Packers defense that has given up 175 rushing yards or more in three straight games.
20
Philadelphia Eagles at San Francisco 49ers
21Eagles QB Donovan McNabb should rebound this week after his season-low .586 completion percentage against the Redskins. McNabb faces a 49ers defense that routinely failed to come up with an important play on defense against the Patriots. 49ers RB Frank Gore should play well against an Eagles defense that gave up 203 rushing yards last week.
17
Dallas Cowboys at Arizona Cardinals
31Cowboys QB Tony Romo should rebound against the Cardinals after throwing for just 176 yards last week. Romo could pick on rookie corner Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie, who was beaten for an 87-yard touchdown last week. Cardinals QB Kurt Warner will test a Cowboys defense that allowed the Bengals to hang around and get back in the game.
23
New England Patriots at San Diego Chargers
24Its yards-per-carry weren't great, but New England consistently moved the chains with its running game last week. The Patriots rushing attack should have success against a Chargers defense that gave up 167 rushing yards to the Dolphins. Chargers QB Philip Rivers could struggle against a Patriots defense that applied a constant pass rush last week, which resulted in three interceptions.

Monday, Oct. 13, 2008
NY Giants at Cleveland Browns
27Giants QB Eli Manning should have success against a Browns defense that has struggled with the lack of a pass rush. Browns RB Jamal Lewis will test a Giants defense that held the Seahawks to 75 rushing yards.
