Overview
Athletic cornerback who teamed with fellow senior Chevis Jackson to give LSU one of the top corner tandems in the country. Blessed with size, instincts, good athleticism and a history of making the big play, Zenon has most of the skills teams are looking for in a top cornerback. Unfortunately, a lack of pure speed limits his potential for the next level.
Analysis
Positives: Slender, athletic build with room for additional muscle mass. Instinctive cornerback who reads the action well and is rarely out of position despite his lack of top end speed. Excelled in man and zone coverage while with the Tigers, giving the coaching staff plenty of options. Smooth in his transition while running with receivers. Quick to pick up on and jump routes while in zone coverage. Quick to come up in run support. Reliable open-field tackler.
Negatives: Lacks the timed speed to be left alone on an island at the next level. Was targeted deep more often as his senior season went on, with teams enjoying some success. Lack of speed may have been exposed more often if he played on a team putting less pressure on the quarterback than LSU.
High School
