Six years after leaving the franchise he helped turn into a Super Bowl contender, running back Warrick Dunn is coming back to the Buccaneers. The three-time Pro Bowler signed Monday with the Bucs, who needed to bolster their running game because Carnell "Cadillac" Williams missed most of last season with a knee injury and there are lingering questions about when Williams will be able to play again. Dunn had three straight 1,000-yard seasons 2004-06 with the Falcons, but only rushed for 720 yards in 2007. (Updated 03/11/2008).

Fantasy Analysis
Dunn is expected to play as a third-down back for the Bucs, occasionally spelling starter Earnest Graham in other situations but certainly not at the goal line. With plenty of miles on his odometer, it's best to think of Dunn as nothing more than a middle-end reserve in 2008 (and a good insurance policy for Graham in deeper leagues). He's worth a middle- to late-round pick in this summer's drafts. (Updated 03/11/2008).
RB Warrick Dunn, 33, says he still is capable of running the football the way he did during his first stint with the Buccaneers. Dunn, who has amassed more than 10,000 yards rushing in his career, can expect a heavy workload in Jon Gruden's offense. Earnest Graham, who led the Bucs in rushing with 898 yards and 10 TDs last season, has been a no-show in minicamp while waiting for a new contract. "I'm much smarter now. I don't play the game the way a young guy would play the game," Dunn said. "I'm going to do things the smart way, but I'm also going to know at times when to lay it out there and other times when you live for another down. "Be smart. I've always known how to take care of my body. But over the last few years, I've had some injuries where I was forced to do that so I've really gotten a routine down so I'm always able to play where I'm comfortable and where I can make plays." 05/15/2008
