According to the Carolina Growl, Panthers WR Muhsin Muhammad ran with the starters during minicamp while D.J. Hackett was the No. 3 receiver. Dwayne Jarrett and Ryne Robinson continue to battle for the No. 4 spot, followed by Jason Carter. Hackett, a free agent pickup from Seattle, said he's picking up as much in the way of tips from veteran receivers Steve Smith and Muhammad as he is the coaching staff at this point. "Each one of them, they know the little things," Hackett said. "You don't go to the coach every time because he's worrying about a lot of other things. The guys who are already here, you can learn a lot from them." (Updated 05/05/2008).

Fantasy Analysis
Hackett has more Fantasy potential because of his upside. Muhammad is an aging veteran. Keep an eye on what develops during training camp, but both players will likely steal catches from each other. Both are late-round Fantasy options at wide receiver coming into the year. (Updated 05/05/2008).
WR Muhsin Muhammad, not D.J. Hackett, worked with the first-team offense in minicamp. Hackett's agent had said his client was assured the starting job opposite Steve Smith. 05/15/2008
