WR Marvin Harrison assured the Indianapolis Colts he was not involved in a shooting last month in his hometown of Philadelphia, according to the Indianapolis Star. In conversations with coach Tony Dungy and team president Bill Polian, Harrison insisted he was not involved in an April 29 incident in Harrison's North Philadelphia neighborhood that resulted in a man suffering a gunshot wound to his hand and a 2-year-old boy sustaining a cut under his eye when a stray bullet shattered a car's windshield. Philadelphia police have confirmed that a gun owned by Harrison was used in the shooting. They interviewed Harrison shortly after the incident but do not consider the receiver a suspect. Injury Report
Knee - Questionable for the start of 2008 training camp (Updated - 2/14/08)
Fantasy Analysis
It appears Harrison won't face any legal action as of now regarding the shooting. Also of a concern to Fantasy owners is Harrison's knee, which cost him most of 2007. The Colts' three-day minicamp begins Friday, and every player under contract is required to attend unless he's excused by the team. The Colts aren't certain if Harrison will return to Indy. Harrison is in rehabilitation after injuring his left knee last season and undergoing arthroscopic surgery on his right knee. Look for Harrison to return to form if he's healthy in 2008, but he's 35 and on the downside of his career. Consider Harrison a low-end No. 2 Fantasy option at this time heading into the season. WR Marvin Harrison, according to the Indianapolis Star, met with head coach Tony Dungy and Bill Polian, the Colts' team president, to deny any involvement in a recent shooting in Harrison's hometown. TV and other media reports have said authorities linked six of bullet casings from the scene, where a man was shot in the hand and young boy suffered lacerations on his face when bullets pierced a windshield and sent glass flying, to Harrison, but those allegations haven't been confirmed by Philadelphia authorities. Harrison has not been named as a suspect and the police department called the investigation "ongoing." 05/13/2008
