WIP-AM radio in Philadelphia, along with NFL Network, are reporting that the Eagles have released veteran LB Takeo Spikes. The Eagles traded for Spikes last offseason but saved $5 million in cap space by letting him go. In his first year with the Eagles, LB Takeo Spikes totaled 86 tackles (64 solo), one sack and four passes defensed. Spikes ended the season with a torn rotator cuff, costing him the last two games of the year. (Updated 03/06/2008).
