The Raiders are expected to resume their search for a backup to QB JaMarcus Russell. They want to go into training camp with at least one proven arm to compete with fourth-year QB Andrew Walter, reports the San Francisco Chronicle. Some of the names the Raiders are considering include Trent Dilfer and former Raiders QB Daunte Culpepper. Last year, Culpepper started six games for the Raiders after signing with the team during training camp. If the Raiders aren't happy with their quarterback depth, he just might still be around. If Dilfer, the former 49ers backup, is going to play another year, it'd be nice to stay close to home. The Raiders contacted him recently and he remains a serious candidate. (Updated 04/30/2008).

Fantasy Analysis
Both would compete to be the backup to Russell, which means they have minimal Fantasy appeal even if they win the job. Look for Walter to remain No. 2 in Oakland, and he would only be worth adding in Fantasy leagues if Russell got hurt. (Updated 04/30/2008).
