Two of the Colts' defensive cornerstones remained spectators as the mandatory three-day minicamp concluded Sunday afternoon, reports the Indianapolis Star. DL Dwight Freeney and DB Bob Sanders each insisted they are progressing well following surgery and will be ready for the start of the regular season. Freeney had surgery in November to repair an injury to his left foot. Sanders, meanwhile, had shoulder surgery following the playoff loss to San Diego. The NFL's reigning Defensive Player of the Year admitted he's not yet 100 percent, "but I'm doing good, man. I'm working out, running, doing the lifting thing. Right now it's just building my strength back up." Will he be ready for the regular season? "Yeah, definitely," Sanders said. (Updated 05/19/2008).
Injury Report
Foot - Questionable for the start of 2008 training camp (Updated - 2/14/08)
Fantasy Analysis
Look for both to be fine for the start of the season. Consider Freeney a No. 2 DL in IDP leagues and Sanders a No. 2 DB. The Colts DST also is a No. 2 unit this year. (Updated 05/19/2008).
