Palmer to be examined on Wednesday: According to The Sports Xchange, Bengals QB Carson Palmer came through the Dallas game well, head coach Marvin Lewis said. He threw for 217 yards on 23-of-39 passing. Palmer had missed the Week 4 game against the Browns because of inflammation in his throwing elbow. He will be examined again Wednesday, Lewis said.

Palmer looked fairly rusty but decent in Week 5 against the Cowboys. He should continue to get healthy and will be a decent Fantasy start in all leagues in Week 6 in New York against the Jets.

QB Carson Palmer raised his passer rating for the season to 69.0. He still has just three touchdown passes and four interceptions in four games and has been sacked 11 times and hit hard on several more plays. 10/07/2008

Palmer started and completed 23 of 39 passes for 217 yards and two touchdowns with one interception in the Bengals' 31-22 loss to Dallas on Sunday.

Palmer, who missed last week's loss with an elbow injury, was questionable all week, but vowed to play. He made good on that promise and helped the Bengals make a second-half comeback before they let up late and fell to 0-5. It's been a frustrating start to the season for Palmer, who's struggled with injury and productivity while Cincinnati has floundered. Fantasy owners have to be patient and hope something clicks soon.
