TE King progresses in second year: TE Jeff King was a mild sleeper heading into 2008, and after a good Week 3 game at Atlanta, he was a trendy low-end starter at his position. However, he trailed off after that game and wasn't very effective as anything more than a No. 2 TE even though the Panthers had plenty of problems at quarterback. In total, King caught 46 passes(on 80 targets) for 406 yards and two touchdowns, easily outnumbering his 2006 total of one catch for 1 yard and one touchdown. (Updated 01/11/2008).

Fantasy Analysis
Entering his third year, King might have some competition for the starting job from 2007 rookie Dante Rosario. However, any Panthers tight end would be considered nothing more than a low-end sleeper in 2008 Fantasy play. (Updated 01/11/2008).
