TE Quinn Sypniewski will miss the 2008 season. Sypniewski suffered a serious knee injury on April 18 in an on-field drill and was carted off the field. Coach John Harbaugh chose not to comment on the injury until Spyniewski, the top backup to Todd Heap, had surgery, which he did before the Ravens opened minicamp Friday. Said Harbaugh: "He had surgery. The ligament tore off the bone, and the piece of the bone that came off the ligament shattered, which made it a situation where it's going to be 6-9 months (to recover)." 05/09/2008
