Seau had arthroscopic surgery on his left rotator cuff not long after his New England Patriots were upset by the New York Giants in the Super Bowl, leaving the linebacker to ponder whether to try to play a 19th NFL season or retire -- again. With free agency underway, Seau is more worried about getting healthy and catching up on his offseason pursuits than where, or if, he might play again. "I have a choice of playing or a choice of surfing. Those are great choices to have," Seau said. (Updated 02/29/2008).
Injury Report
No information available at this time (Updated 5/20/08).
Fantasy Analysis
The surgery could have a bearing on whether the Patriots or any other teams offer Seau a contract. He finished with 74 tackles (58 solo), 3.5 sacks and three interceptions. Keep an eye on what happens with Seau. If he returns, he still makes enough plays to be considered a low-end No. 3 LB in IDP leagues. (Updated 02/29/2008).
