Lions second-year RB Brian Calhoun tore an ACL for the second consecutive season in 2007. He injured his knee in Week 4 and was placed on Injured Reserve. Before he did, he had seven carries for 35 yards (5.0 avg.) with five catches for another 35 yards (7.0 avg.). He has 109 total yards in two NFL seasons. (Updated 01/18/2008).
Injury Report
Knee - Questionable for the start of 2008 training camp (Updated - 1/18/08)
Fantasy Analysis
The Lions aren't giving up on Calhoun. NFL Network had reported that the Lions might give him reps next season until Kevin Jones is healthy enough to return from his own torn ACL. The only way anyone should draft Calhoun is if he has a monster preseason and is running like there's never been anything wrong with him. That unlikely scenario would make him a middle- to late-round pick in drafts. Otherwise, he's not worth a look at this point. (Updated 01/18/2008).
