Injuries

DatePosPlayerInjuryNFL StatusFantasy Analysis
4/16/08DLGabe WatsonKnee Watson is a wide-bodied defensive tackle who will do more to help his teammates accumulate stats by crashing the line of scrimmage than anything else. Unless he somehow turns into a run-stuffing machine, do not expect him to be a contributor in IDP leagues. (Updated 04/16/2008)
4/11/08DBEric GreenGroin Keep an eye on what develops with Smith and Green. Heading into 2008, both have minimal Fantasy value at this time. (Updated 02/28/2008)
4/11/08LBChike OkeaforArm Do not draft Okeafor in any Fantasy league this year. Hopefully he can return at 100 percent in 2008. (Updated 08/15/2007)
3/26/08QBMatt LeinartCollarbone That broken collarbone ended Matt Leinart's sophomore season after five games, giving him 647 passing yards on 60-of-112 passing (53.6 pct.) with two touchdowns, four interceptions and 42 rush yards. Leinart lost playing time in spurts starting in Week 3 when he was healthy when the Cardinals inserted Kurt Warner to play when they were behind, costing Leinart reps and stats. Head coach Ken Whisenhunt has already stated that if healthy, Leinart will enter training camp as his starting quarterback. But that doesn't mean that Kurt Warner won't make surprise guest appearances again in 2008 games. Because Leinart is expected to start and see more reps, he's the more reliable Fantasy option of the two, but he's no better than a No. 2 Fantasy QB next season so long as Warner is hanging over his head and taking reps. (Updated 03/26/2008)
1/7/08TELeonard PopeAnkle Pope is a wide-bodied red-zone target that should steal touchdowns from other prominent Cardinals in the future. For what it's worth, Pope will be a restricted free agent after the 2008 season, so he should be motivated to play for a new deal. Think of him as a good No. 2 Fantasy TE next season. (Updated 01/07/2008)
1/7/08DBAdrian WilsonHeel Wilson is still a safe Fantasy option as a low-end No. 1 DB next year since he should recover fully from his heel injury. In addition, this is his first year in seven seasons that he's missed more than two games (he's played in 16 games in five campaigns). (Updated 03/27/2008)
