2/14/08DLDwight FreeneyFoot Freeney finished the year with 21 tackles (18 solo), 3.5 sacks, one safety and four forced fumbles, and now has only nine sacks the past two years. He will need to prove a lot to Fantasy owners, who have counted on him as a No. 1 DL in IDP leagues. For now, consider Freeney a No. 2 option and see how he does in the offseason with his recovery. (Updated 03/27/2008)
2/14/08WRMarvin HarrisonKnee It appears Harrison won't face any legal action as of now regarding the shooting. Also of a concern to Fantasy owners is Harrison's knee, which cost him most of 2007. The Colts' three-day minicamp begins Friday, and every player under contract is required to attend unless he's excused by the team. The Colts aren't certain if Harrison will return to Indy. Harrison is in rehabilitation after injuring his left knee last season and undergoing arthroscopic surgery on his right knee. Look for Harrison to return to form if he's healthy in 2008, but he's 35 and on the downside of his career. Consider Harrison a low-end No. 2 Fantasy option at this time heading into the season. (Updated 05/13/2008)
2/14/08DBBob SandersShoulder Sanders was named the NFL's Defensive Player of the Year, leading the Colts with 96 total tackles, 3.5 sacks, six defensed passes, one fumble recovered and two interceptions. He started 15 games at strong safety and had three double-digit tackle outings. For his play this year, Sanders was rewarded with a five-year contract extension for $37.5 million with $20 million guaranteed, which will keep him in Indy through 2012. Sanders played like a No. 1 DB in IDP leagues this year. The best thing was the oft-injured DB stayed healthy, though there's promise he'll do that in 2008. Consider Sanders a No. 1 option again in 2008 and hope he can get healthy and duplicate his performance of 2007. (Updated 02/14/2008)
