Stanely's return to track was news to Linehan - St. Louis Post-Dispatch

ST. LOUIS - When St. Louis Rams wide receiver Derek Stanley asked coach Scott Linehan for permission to return to school this spring to continue work on his degree, he left out one detail.

Rams report: Notes, quotes
--Coach Scott Linehan likes what the Rams have done in the offseason, quickly replacing the retired Jeff Wilkins with kicker Josh Brown and signing Jacob Bell to play left guard

Rams report: Inside slant
Left tackle Orlando Pace continues to work toward another comeback after missing virtually all of the 2007 season because of a torn labrum.

Rams report: Strategy and personnel
FRANCHISE PLAYER
None.

Long way to the top - NY Post

Chris Long still had to experience yesterday's NFL Draft, still has his first training camp and perhaps the humiliation he'll feel after getting schooled by an established NFL tackle.

DE Long, Rams' top draft pick, has good first outing
Chris Long learned pretty quickly that his status as the St. Louis Rams' No. 1 pick in this year's draft does not disqualify him from rookie chores.

Plus any tim ...(more)

4 Braylon Edwards: For years Edwards struggled, but only because he didn’t have a quarterback to throw the ball to him. Now that he has a good player in Anderson tossing balls in his direction, Edwards should rise on your draft boa ...(more)

1. Everyone is returning at full health. I really doubt we can have another injury-riddled year like in 07, where virtually every position took a hit.

2. The draft. Not only did we score a home run pick in Chris Long, we have added depth to the O-line. ...(more)

Is there anywhere to find out who the Rams and other teams signed as rookie FA's?

I love Chris Long and second-round receiver Donnie Avery is a perfect slot receiver for their offense.

Scott Linehan had to endure a ton of injuries and a backlash from his players. If he doesn't handle that better this time around, he won't be back in 2009.
