The Colts' decision to bring back RB Dominic Rhodes wasn't the only roster move by the team in recent days.
Indianapolis released offensive guard Dylan Gandy and tight end Bryan Fletcher after one day of the Colts' rookie minicamp.
Each player had recently signed a one-year, $927,000 contract as one of the team's restricted free agents.
Gandy, a fourth-round draft pick in 2005, appeared in 42 games with 14 starts. Fletcher signed as a free agent in '05 and appeared in 46 games, 18 as a starter. He had 54 receptions for 547 yards and five touchdowns.
FRANCHISE PLAYER TE Dallas Clark (tendered at $4.522M; then signed 6-year contract).
TRANSITION PLAYER None.
UNRESTRICTED FREE AGENTS
--WR Aaron Moorehead played hurt (back) for most of the season before finally ending up on the team's injured reserve list. Did not play as well as expected when he was forced to fill in after the knee injury to starter Marvin Harrison. Has probably played his last game with the Colts.
--TE Mike Seidman missed the 2007 season due to a knee injury. He was placed on the team's injured reserve list early in the year. A tossup on whether he will be brought back.
UNRESTRICTED FREE AGENTS (not tendered offers)
--WR Craphonso Thorpe (not tendered as ERFA) was used primarily as a backup receiver and as a kick returner. Due to injuries at both spots, his playing time in 2007 was a bit more than expected.
RESTRICTED FREE AGENTS None.
EXCLUSIVE RIGHTS FREE AGENTS None.

I can't wait for the game between the Colts and Bears. Right now I live in Indiana, and am a die hard Colts fan, but I will be moving to Illinois at the beginning of the next school year. I cannot wait tell the Colts demolish the Bears and I can wear a Colts jersey the next day.

Great news that they re-signed him. I believe when Bethea's contract is up they'll let him walk for the big money and Girodano will quietly step in at the starting role. The dude is lightning fast and he plays a lot like Bpb Sanders. I love Bethea, but I am excited for when Giordano gets his chance. He's fun to watch.
