Four players who attended a recent Chiefs tryout camp have signed free agent contracts.

All four players have been in previous camps or on practice squads.

WR Kevin McMahan, from Maine, was on the Chiefs' practice squad for part of the 2007 season. Fullback Steven Jackson, who played at Clemson, has been in the training camps of Minnesota and Carolina. Tackle Ken Shackleford, a Georgia product, was in the Rams camp last year. Linebacker E.J. Kuale has been in two NFL camps with New Orleans.

MEDICAL WATCH
The Chiefs anticipate having Larry Johnson running at something close to full speed by the time of the team's June minicamp, if not in scheduled OTA workouts before that. Johnson missed the last eight games of the 2007 with a fractured bone in his foot. He attempted a comeback in mid-December, but experienced a relapse when the foot began hurting again when he tried running on it.
