The 49ers visited with veteran free agent Takeo Spikes earlier this offseason. Last week, they met with Jeremiah Trotter. The 49ers are looking for an inside linebacker to play next to Patrick Willis in the team's 3-4 scheme. Trotter, a 10-year veteran, played in just three games for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers last season and recorded 17 tackles.
