Packers LB Nick Barnett (nine tackles), LB A.J. Hawk (nine tackles), DB Atari Bigby (eight tackles), LB Brady Poppinga (five tackles), DL Aaron Kampman (five tackles) and DL Corey Williams (four tackles, two sacks) all helped out in Green Bay's 31-17 win over the Panthers in Week 11.

The Packers might have to face the rival Chicago Bears Week 16 without Ryan Pickett, a key member of their defense. The defensive tackle hurt his groin in the Packers' 33-14 victory over the Rams Week 15 and only took part in a limited portion of practice on Friday. He was listed as questionable for Sunday's game. If Pickett can't play, head coach Mike McCarthy has said first-round pick Justin Harrell would make his first NFL start and take Pickett's spot. But Pickett doesn't want to miss the game against a division rival. "I don't like taking any time off," Pickett said.

The Packers listed the following players as inactive for Week 16 at Chicago: QB Aaron Rodgers (hamstring), WR Shaun Bodiford (coach's decision), DB Jarrett Bush (calf), RB Korey Hall (hip), DL Ryan Pickett (groin), TE Ryan Krause (coach's decision), DL Conrad Bolston (coach's decision).

The Green Bay Packers have signed QBs Jerry Babb and Dalton Bell, WRs Chris Francies and Johnny Quinn, LB Spencer Havner, DT Alfred Malone, DB Joe Porter and RB Corey White to reserve/futures contracts.

The Pakcers inactives for Sunday's game against New Orleans are : LB/DE Jason Hunter, DT Johnny Jolly, DT Kenderick Allen, TE Tory Humphrey and CB Will Blackmon.

The Packers drafted Brandon Jackson in the second round of the 2007 NFL Draft as someone to compete with Vernand Morency for the club's starting RB job. Jackson won the honor and started Green Bay's first three games, but was ineffective and then strained his shin and never saw regular playing time again as DeShawn Wynn and then Ryan Grant took over the Packers' running game. Jackson did finish strong in a meaningless win vs. Detroit and made some strides in the postseason. In total, Jackson had 267 yards on 75 carries (3.6 yards) with a touchdown and 130 receiving yards on 16 grabs.

The Packers re-signed FB John Kuhn on Thursday, according to the Green Bay Press-Gazette. The Packers picked up Kuhn, a third-year pro, off waivers after Pittsburgh cut him last season at the end of training camp. He finished 2007 with 7 yards on two catches.

According to the Green Bay Press-Gazette, RB Ryan Grant will work with the Green Bay Packers in the offseason without a contract, but to get him to training camp the Packers will have to sign him to a contract well above the NFL minimum for a second-year pro. Grant, who rose from the bottom of the Packers' depth chart to become one of the NFL's most productive runners in the second half of last season, has not signed a contract but nevertheless is taking part in the team's offseason workout program, which started Monday. His agent, Alan Herman, said Grant will take part in all the team's minicamps and workouts this spring, but that he will not sign the $370,000 minimum tender for an exclusive-rights player who has only one accrued season in the NFL. Grant is looking for a longer, far more lucrative deal after he rushed for 956 yards and averaged 5.1 yards a carry despite being the team's primary halfback for only the final nine games of the season.

The Packers have listed TE Donald Lee as inactive for Week 17 against Detroit. Also inactive are QB Aaron Rodgers (3rd QB), DB Charles Woodson, RB Korey Hall, DL Aaron Kampman and DL Ryan Pickett.

The Packers announced the release of WR Koren Robinson on Friday. Because he was serving a suspension, Robinson missed the first seven games of the 2007 season. But in the nine games he did play in, Robinson caught 21 passes for 241 yards (11.5 avg.) and a touchdown with a 5-yard rush. He was used mostly on kick returns.

Notable inactives for the Jets-Packers Week 13 game include: Jets QB Kellen Clemens (No. 3 QB), RB Derrick Blaylock, RB Kevan Barlow, FB James Hodgins, LB Ryan Riddle and DT C.J. Mosley. The Jets did not specify if Leon Washington or Cedric Houston would start for Barlow at running back. For the Packers, QB Ingle Martin (No. 3 QB), CB Charlie Peprah, RB P.J. Pope, LB Ben Taylor, TE David Martin and DT Johnny Jolly are inactive.

Carlyle Holiday missed the 2007 season with a knee injury and did not record any stats. Subsequently, the team released him on Feb. 29.

Packers rookie QB Brian Brohm is not content on competing for the backup job behind Aaron Rodgers, reports the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel. "I'm going to be preparing as if I'm going to be playing. I think that's how everyone needs to look at it," Brohm said. "I need to prove in the preseason, and in the camps, that I can go out there and do that."
