Schneider has assist in ATL debut: Mathieu Schneider made his debut with the Thrashers during Saturday's preseason game against the Blues after being acquired from Anaheim last week and assisted on Brett Sterling's goal. The veteran defenseman was paired with rookie Zach Bogosian, the third overall pick in the NHL draft.

Fantasy Analysis

It looks as though Schneider will fit in just fine with the Thrashers and could be a very good mentor for Bogosian. Schneider usually has one of the best plus/minus ratings in the NHL, but it will be really tested in '08-09 with the Thrashers since they aren't as good as a team as Anaheim. He will be a top defenseman for Atlanta, but view Schneider as more of a No. 2 Fantasy defenseman.
