--Duane Sutter, who spent 11 years in the Florida Panthers organization, joined the Flames as director of player personnel.

--Former Flames goalkeeper Jamie McLennan, who spent last season playing in Russia and Japan, has been added as a pro scout and director of goalie development.

BOYD goes to Quad City...

I freaked out when I heard our leader in points in the pre-season was sent to the farm...but heard Sutter on the radio that the only reason he went down is because Warrener is on Injured reserve and still counts against the cap...which means the Flames were in a situation where they had to move another guy down...the only guy they can move ...(more)
