--Team officials met in Tampa, Fla., on May 7-9, and the first decision to come out of the get-together is that Jacques Lemaire will return as the Wild's coach for an eighth season. Lemaire has two more years left on his contract.

--The Wild will have the 24th pick in June's draft.

QUOTE TO NOTE
"Marian wouldn't say that. He said all along, 'I could play with it.' Now, he just decided he'd like to see if he can play without it." -- Wild GM Doug Risebrough, on whether he blames the torn labrum in Marian Gaborik's hip on his poor playoff performance.

The Wild just signed Owen Nolan. I like this deal. Granted I would have liked it a lot more 5-6 years ago but it's not bad. He's a tough, physical power foward, who can put it in the net. I'd like to see him on Gabby's line or with PMB. At least I have heard of him.

As much as i hear the echo's of Steve Levy's voice in my head saying.......... Andrew Brunette and the MN Wild are moving on , I just dont understand the strategy. I love A.B but i also think B.R was the 2 best player on this squad and to not get him resigned is a joke. So in reality we actually lost offensive power (which was&# ...(more)

Am I the only one who is confused by the latest development?  Supposedly, Wes Walz retired because he "no longer had the passion" to keep playing hockey.  Fine, I can understand and respect that; it happens.  What I can't figure out, however, is where he suddenly gets this passionate desire to be an assistant coach (and for the Tampa Bay freaking ...(more)
