Career Notes
A standout athlete and individual in numerous ways, O’Brien-Amico continues to lead this Olympic team through example and leadership. The two-time Olympian (1996 and 2000) hit .370 during pre-Olympic Tour and scored 40 runs. O'Brien-Amico's collegiate achievements include Leading the Arizona Wildcats to three Women’s College World Series title (1993, 1994, & 1997), three-time NFCA First-team All American, three-time Academic All American, three-time First-team All-Pacific Region, four-time All Pac-10, and three-time ASA All American.

Personal
O’Brien-Amico defines the term ‘everyday’ as she balances family life and softball. Married to Tommy Amico and the proud parents of two-year old son Jake, softball has provided this Arizona alumni with everything and then some. In fact, in July of 1997 at a Superball softball competition she met Tommy and they were married in January of 1999. Given the opportunity to play again for her college coach at Arizona, Mike Candrea, Amico says “he knows how to get the most out of every player” and that what keeps her going on “the greatest ride.”
