--The Spurs remained unbeaten at home this postseason with Thursday's Game 3 win over the Hornets. Dating back to last season, San Antonio has won 10 consecutive playoff games at home.

--Game 4 is scheduled for Sunday night in San Antonio, with the series now assured a fifth game, which will be Tuesday night in New Orleans.

--In seven games played between the two teams this season, no final score has been closer than nine points.

--The Spurs improved to 3-0 against the Hornets this season when holding them under 100 points. New Orleans is 4-0 when scoring in triple figures.

--The Spurs outscored the Hornets 33-6 from beyond the three-point arc, limiting the visitors to 2-for-11 shooting after they had scorched the nets at a 51.9-percent clip (14 of 27) from deep in their two home games.

--The NBA announced before the game that the Hornets' Chris Paul had been selected to the All-NBA first team, Tim Duncan to the second team and Manu Ginobili to the third team.

--Ginobili, who earlier this postseason captured the league's Sixth Man Award, started Thursday's game. It was his first start of the series.

--Tony Parker and Ginobili both scored 31 points in the win. It was just the third time in the last 15 years that starters from the same backcourt each scored 30 or more points in a playoff game.

QUOTE TO NOTE
"We defended the three-point line better and I think that was kind of the key." -- Spurs power forward Tim Duncan, on limiting the Hornets to six points on three-point shots in Game 3 after they had tallied 30 in their Game 2 win Monday.
