--The Ravens won't make any official announcement on Quinn Sypniewski's status, but coach John Harbaugh said the backup tight end's knee injury could be season-ending. Sypniewski was carted off the field during a minicamp two weeks ago.

"They're still assessing it right now," Harbaugh said. "We're not sure where it stands at this point."

--Fabian Washington, the cornerback who was acquired from the Oakland Raiders for a fourth-round pick, participated in all the practices in last week's minicamp. He is wearing No. 31, which was Jamal Lewis' number.

--The Ravens have been shuffling their offensive line throughout minicamp. Right tackle Marshal Yanda and left guard Jason Brown have spent time at right guard and center.

"It shows Cam [Cameron, offensive coordinator] what these guys can do as a play-caller," Harbaugh said. "If Cam can see if a guy pulls better on the right side than the left or he's got a better reach block on the left side, that helps his play-calling down the road."

--Art Modell, the Ravens' majority owner from 1996 to 2003, spoke to the players after practice, cracking jokes before delivering a message at the end.

"He told them that he thought we had the makings of being a good football team," Harbaugh said. "It's nice to hear that from Art Modell. That meant something to our guys."

--The Ravens will hold their only mandatory minicamp from May 9-11.

QUOTE TO NOTE
"Is it going to be 20 different questions or the same one 20 times? But if that's what comes with the territory, in terms of getting a first-round pick, we can live with it." -- Ravens coach John Harbaugh when asked if he's ready for 20 questions about the Ravens starting quarterback job from now until training camp.
